Before and after autumn decoration~

I have taken a break from scrapbooking/cardmaking to do some things around the house that I have neglected. Autumn is my favorite time of year! I have been motivated to get out the paintbrush and do some projects that are floating around in my head...which makes the hubby very nervous! (he has been involved in my little projects before..haha)
I have been stalking some DIY blogs and have seen some wonderful things. I have lots of ideas and things I want to try....I will share them with you as I go along. I will be using my Cricut for some of the vinyl projects...they will be fun and easy for you to copy.

Party Favor Bags~

I made these party favor bags to put some goodies in for my daughter's baby shower. I used Plantin and New Arrival for these. They were a lot of fun to make! Tucked away inside are some yummy chocolates :)

I made this card for the Planes, Trains and Automobiles Challenge over at Jitterbuggin'. There are so many cricut mobiles to choose from! I chose the airplane from New Arrival for this one. The papers are from My Mind's Eye...

Jitterbuggin' Challenge - Oh Baby!

This week we are making cards to welcome those new little bundles of joy that God blesses us with. We are to make a baby card by using the following recipe. I enjoyed making this card since we are being blessed with another little boy (grandson) in October :)

Baby Boy Diaper Cake~

This diaper cake is my latest project I have been busy with. It was a lot of fun shopping for baby items again. Tucked inside all the little goodies are some New Arrival cuts. I am still trying to decide what I want to top it off with..thinking of a little bear??? :)

1st Birthday Layout~Celebrations cartridge

I made this layout for Emma's throwback Thursday challenge over at "My Creative Time". I have been wanting to scrap Gabe's 1st Birthday pictures and thought this was the perfect time to get moving. I also used the Simply Sweet cartridge for some of the lettering. Sorry for the glare ;). Have a great weekend!

Jet lag...

I logged on this morning after a long day of flying yesterday to find some new followers! I was so happy! I'm having some serious jet lag today though. I got up at 3 a.m. to fly to New Mexico to pick up my DG and fly back in the same day..whew! Now for three weeks of vacation and spoiling time! I hope to get in my scraproom and get some new things posted. I think it's time to get her started scrapping too! :)

Jitterbuggin' Blog Sketch Challenge

The weekly sketch challenge over at the Jitterbuggin' Blog is "Just Monkeyin' Around". This one is a lot of fun since you can pick a monkey from any of the carts. I made this graduation card as my take on the challenge...




I used papers from the Animal Crackers pad and the monkey cut from Create a Critter..the sentiment was a stamp set sent to me by Charlene over at the wonderful blog Paper and Ink Playground :)

Another Create a Critter layout...

While I love red and black..it isn't my comfort zone when scrapping. I just love this little skunk and wanted to make something with the cut...and while I thought I should have used the title "Little Stinker" lol..I decided to go with this one :)
I'm still not sure I am in love with this layout but wanted to share the cute little skunk :)

Weekend Getaway!

DH and I left for an anniversary weekend getaway to Gatlinburg. Our lives have been so hectic for the past year so this was a much needed escape! He was so sweet to spend one morning in the huge scrapbook store!

My First Cricut Cake~

This is my first ever fondant cake! I used my checkerboard cake pans. I first iced my cake with buttercream frosting. While the buttercream frosting was drying, I made the marshmallow fondant. I will admit..I was a little intimidated by all this cake stuff..I don't spend much time in the kitchen! The MMF was sooooo easy to make! I did encounter a few problems but I figure they will work out with some practice.

I had a little helper with me in the kitchen today...doesn't everyone need a little helper to keep the beaters clean?! LOL
